Duties:

• Represent clients in complex Trusts, Estates, and Fiduciary litigation matters
• Manage cases through all phases of litigation, including pre-trial preparation, discovery, motions, and trial
• Take and defend depositions
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, discovery requests, and responses
• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials
• Conduct thorough legal research on case-specific matters
• Collaborate with senior attorneys in case strategy and execution
• Provide clients with regular updates and guidance throughout the litigation process

Requirements:

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials
• Admission to the New York State Bar
• 3-5 years of litigation experience, particularly in fiduciary, trust, and estate matters
• Proven ability to draft complex legal documents, including pleadings and motions
• Experience in depositions and courtroom appearances
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
• A high level of professionalism and attention to detail

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar

Skills:

• Strong litigation experience, particularly in Trusts, Estates, and Fiduciary litigation
• Familiarity with the Surrogate's Court proceedings is highly preferred
• Estate planning and administration knowledge is a plus
• Exceptional research, drafting, and legal analysis skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Time management and prioritization
