Job Location: White Plains, NY (Hybrid Remote Opportunity)

A well-established law firm seeks an associate to join their business and commercial litigation team. The firm is looking for a skilled attorney to assist with a range of business-related legal matters. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in litigation, and courtroom proceedings, and strong research and writing abilities. Duties:

• Represent clients in courtroom, mediation, and arbitration proceedings
• Take and defend depositions
• Research factual and legal issues, working closely with senior attorneys to strategize
• Draft various legal documents including memoranda, pleadings, discovery demands and responses, motions, and briefs
• Examine records and transactions involved in business disputes and investigate potential client claims

Requirements:

• 2-6 years of experience in complex commercial litigation
• Admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility to waive in)
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• High level of organizational skills for managing a varied workload
• Ability to quickly absorb and apply new information
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Professional, cooperative, and adaptable attitude
• Military experience is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility for admission)
