Job Overview:A law firm in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking an International Trade Partner to join their team. The ideal candidate will be highly entrepreneurial, collegial, and possess a proven track record with at least a small book of business. This role involves advising U.S. and foreign clients on complex regulatory issues, managing compliance with U.S. trade regulations, and representing clients in trade-related matters.Duties:Advise U.S. and foreign clients on regulatory requirements for investment in the U.S. and guide foreign investors through the CFIUS review process.Counsel clients on U.S. Customs regulations and other import-related regulatory requirements.Provide expertise on trade preference programs (e.g., USMCA, CAFTA) and trade remedies (e.g., AD/CVD, Sec. 301).Offer guidance on compliance with U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and sanctions administered by OFAC.Communicate with regulators regarding investigations, protests, voluntary disclosures, and settlements.Represent clients in trade litigation matters (experience in trade litigation is a plus).Requirements:Proven track record with a small book of business.Demonstrated experience in advising on U.S. and foreign trade regulations.Expertise in U.S. Customs, trade preference programs, trade remedies, EAR, ITAR, and OFAC regulations.Experience communicating with regulatory bodies on investigations and compliance issues.Trade litigation experience is an advantage.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Licensed to practice law in relevant jurisdictions.Skills:Strong understanding of international trade and regulatory compliance.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Superior communication and negotiation abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proven entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on client service and business development.Job Location:Pittsburgh, PA
