The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of litigation, including case preparation, court appearances, and client advisement.

Duties:

  • Draft and file motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.
  • Represent clients in trials, arbitrations, depositions, and mediations.
  • Provide expert legal advice and case updates to clients and their insurers.
  • Oversee day-to-day litigation tasks, ensuring cases progress efficiently.
  • Prepare for trial, including witness examinations and courtroom representation.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and law.
  • Proven experience in drafting and arguing motions.
  • Ability to navigate court systems effectively and efficiently.
  • Experience in trial preparation and courtroom advocacy.
  • Skilled in conducting depositions and witness examinations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a legal team.
  • Active member of the Oregon State Bar.
  • Experience with construction defect or casualty claims is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Oregon State Bar (required).
