Job Overview: A law firm based in Chicago, IL, seeks a dynamic Finance Banking Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance experience. Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to banking and finance transactions.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including loan agreements, security documents, and financial contracts.
  • Assist in due diligence processes for financing transactions.
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients on financial matters.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and transactions related to banking and finance matters.
  • Stay updated on changes in financial laws and regulations affecting clients' interests.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in private credit, acquisition, or leveraged finance.
  • Strong understanding of banking and finance principles, lending practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.
