Job Overview: A law firm in San Diego, CA, seeks a highly qualified Financial Services Litigation Associate Attorney. This position requires expertise in litigation involving commercial real estate, distressed loans and real estate, debt and security instruments, or creditor and lender liability.

Duties:

• Handle litigation involving commercial real estate
• Manage litigation related to distressed loans and real estate
• Oversee litigation concerning debt and security instruments
• Address creditor and lender liability cases
• Take and defend depositions
• Represent clients in courtroom settings
• Draft, review, and file legal documents and pleadings
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Collaborate with clients to develop case strategies
• Negotiate settlements and other legal agreements
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations

Requirements:

• A high level of academic achievement
• Solid law firm experience or clerking experience
• Superb problem-solving skills
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• 3+ years of diverse litigation or clerking experience
• Experience in litigation involving commercial real estate
• Experience with litigation involving distressed loans and real estate
• Knowledge of debt and security instruments
• Understanding of creditor and lender liability
• Demonstrated experience in taking and defending depositions
• Proven courtroom experience

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in California
