This position requires expertise in litigation involving commercial real estate, distressed loans and real estate, debt and security instruments, or creditor and lender liability.

Duties:

  • Handle litigation involving commercial real estate
  • Manage litigation related to distressed loans and real estate
  • Oversee litigation concerning debt and security instruments
  • Address creditor and lender liability cases
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Represent clients in courtroom settings
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents and pleadings
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Collaborate with clients to develop case strategies
  • Negotiate settlements and other legal agreements
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • A high level of academic achievement
  • Solid law firm experience or clerking experience
  • Superb problem-solving skills
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • 3+ years of diverse litigation or clerking experience
  • Experience in litigation involving commercial real estate
  • Experience with litigation involving distressed loans and real estate
  • Knowledge of debt and security instruments
  • Understanding of creditor and lender liability
  • Demonstrated experience in taking and defending depositions
  • Proven courtroom experience

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in California
