A law firm is seeking a Government Investigations And White Collar Defense Associate Attorney with the following qualifications:

Job Overview: The Associate Attorney will primarily focus on handling civil, government investigations, and white-collar criminal defense matters. The ideal candidate should possess strong research and brief writing skills and be adept at handling complex civil litigation and white-collar criminal cases.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation, government investigations, and white-collar criminal defense matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
  • Assist in conducting internal investigations and responding to government inquiries.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case management and strategy.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in civil, government investigations, and/or white-collar criminal defense.
  • Exposure to complex civil litigation and white-collar criminal matters, including SEC enforcement, internal investigations, False Claims Act, and/or Foreign Corrupt Practices Act defense.
  • Strong research and brief writing skills.
  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Admitted to practice law in California and in good standing, or actively pursuing admission.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California, or actively pursuing admission.

Skills:

  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in legal writing and drafting.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A detail-oriented and organized approach to work.
