Job Overview: A boutique commercial litigation and transactional law firm is seeking an Attorney Associate with 5 to 7 years of experience in litigation and/or real estate transactional work. The firm offers a great work environment with direct contact with partners to foster skill development. The position offers opportunities to represent clients in diverse commercial, business, and personal legal matters, particularly focusing on privately held companies, partnerships, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals.Location:Calabasas, CADuties:Represent clients in court or before government agencies.Take and defend expert and percipient depositions in connection with litigation matters.Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents on behalf of clients.Lead or participate in trials, arbitrations, hearings, and mediations.Advise clients on business and legal transactions, especially real estate and privately held corporate transactions.Negotiate and document transactions related to business and real estate deals and settlement agreements.Perform corporate work, including the formation of business entities, creation of investment structures, and preparation of operating agreements, subscription agreements, bylaws, and other corporate documents.Handle administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.Requirements:5 to 7 years of previous experience in litigation and/or real estate transactional work (preferred).Admitted to the California State Bar.Familiarity with California Codes and Federal Codes.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to build rapport with clients and provide sound legal advice.Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications:California State Bar admission required.Skills:Strong litigation experience, including taking and defending depositions.Solid understanding of transactional work, especially in real estate and business transactions.Expertise in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.Knowledge of corporate law, including entity formation, investment structures, and corporate governance documents.Excellent client relationship and communication skills.Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills.Benefits:Medical and dental benefits.Paid Time Off (PTO).Retirement plan.Opportunities for professional growth in a growing firm.
