Associate Attorney needed for Claremont office

Job Overview:
A boutique law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Civil Litigation division, handling primarily business, real estate, and trust disputes. This hybrid role provides an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career attorney to work under the guidance of senior attorneys and gain hands-on experience in civil litigation from inception to trial. The firm offers the flexibility of hybrid work with potential for a fully remote transition.

Location:
Claremont, California

Duties:

• Meet with and advise clients, and engage in discussions with opposing counsel
• Manage a diverse caseload in civil litigation, including business, real estate, and trust disputes
• Handle law and motion practice, discovery, and depositions
• Make court appearances as required
• Assist senior attorneys in various stages of litigation, from inception to trial
• Support other attorneys in different departments when needed

Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the California State Bar
• 0-2 years of experience, with some law and motion experience preferred
• Ability to manage a caseload and work independently
• Strong research and writing skills
• Personable, detail-oriented, and able to effectively communicate
• Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude

Education:

• Doctor of Law (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar
