Complex Commercial Litigation Associate

A law firm seeks an accomplished associate with a minimum of three years of experience in complex commercial litigation to join its team in San Francisco, California. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-stakes litigation matters in a collaborative and dynamic environment. Duties

• Conduct in-depth legal research and draft persuasive pleadings, motions, and memoranda.
• Manage discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests and coordinating document production.
• Support trial preparation by developing case strategies, identifying key evidence, and drafting trial materials.
• Handle depositions and assist with witness preparation.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to ensure effective and efficient case management.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, with a focus on complex commercial disputes.
• Judicial clerkship experience is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in legal writing and research.
• Excellent oral advocacy and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• California Bar admission is preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic performance, with law review experience preferred.

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with a state bar, with preference for California Bar membership.
