A law firm seeks a dedicated Federal Civil Rights & Employment Attorney to join their team in Orlando, FL. This hybrid position is ideal for an ambitious litigator with a minimum of five years of experience in federal civil rights and employment litigation. The firm focuses on representing both private entities and governmental clients, including national insurers and prominent self-insured companies, in state and federal courts.

Duties:

  • Manage all aspects of civil litigation under the supervision of a partner, including drafting pleadings, motions, and responses to complaints.
  • Participate in discovery processes, including attending depositions and investigating allegations of civil rights violations.
  • Conduct interviews with witnesses and gather evidence to support legal cases.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and trials as required, effectively advocating for clients.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, witnesses, and adjusters, providing updates and advice.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare written analyses to support case strategies.
  • Assign specific duties based on the candidate’s experience and demonstrated capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • An active Florida Bar license is required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in federal civil rights and employment litigation.
  • Prior experience as a federal law clerk is preferred but not mandatory.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Must hold an active license to practice law in Florida.
