Job Overview

Duties

  • Manage a caseload of first-party property and insurance coverage litigation matters.

  • Handle litigation in both state and federal courts, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions.

  • Take and defend depositions, and represent clients in court appearances and trials.

  • Advise clients on insurance coverage matters and bad faith claims.

  • Collaborate with internal teams on case strategy, legal research, and documentation.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior associates, guiding them in their professional development.

Requirements

  • Admitted and in good standing with the Delaware Bar.

  • Experience in first-party property, bad faith, and insurance coverage litigation.

  • Strong academic credentials and a proven track record of excellent legal research and writing.

  • Practical experience managing cases in both state and federal courts.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active state bar membership in Delaware.

  • Additional Bar admissions in other states are a plus.

Skills

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and motions.
