Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Personal Injury Attorney to join its growing team in Dallas, TX. This role will allow the candidate to focus on case strategy and professional development, with significant support from senior attorneys. The ideal candidate will have a background in personal injury law, with experience in depositions, court hearings, and mediation. Trial participation is expected, with mentorship and professional development opportunities provided.

Location:

  • Dallas, TX

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury matters in litigation
  • Draft legal documents including complaints, motions, and discovery-related letters
  • Prepare clients for depositions and hearings
  • Take and defend depositions throughout the litigation process
  • Prepare and respond to dispositive motions
  • Attend court hearings and negotiate settlements
  • Provide investigative support and direction on assigned litigation matters
  • Participate in trial preparation and skill development programs

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of personal injury law experience
  • Strong background in personal injury litigation, including pre-litigation case management and discovery
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
  • Active membership and good standing with the Texas State Bar
  • Workers' Compensation experience is a plus

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Texas State Bar license in good standing

Skills:

  • Legal research and writing
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload independently
  • Experience in deposition and hearing preparation
  • Negotiation and settlement skills
