Associate Attorney needed for Purchase office

Location:

• Purchase, NY

Duties:

• Manage own caseload with oversight from partners
• Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses
• Conduct legal research and prepare memorandums
• Attend hearings, court conferences, and depositions
• Perform case inspections and consult with expert witnesses
• Attend mediations and assist with trial preparation
• Represent clients in trial proceedings

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in general liability defense
• Admitted to the New York State Bar (Required)
• Connecticut Bar admission is a plus, but not required
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
• Ability to manage cases independently with oversight
• Ability to attend in-person hearings and trial proceedings in Purchase, NY

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• New York Bar License (Required)
• Connecticut Bar License (Optional)
