Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking a highly motivated associate attorney with 1-5 years of experience in litigation and/or bankruptcy to join its Finance & Restructuring group in Wilmington, DE. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of complex bankruptcy and commercial litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, solid academic credentials, and the ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Location:

Duties:

  • Handle bankruptcy and commercial litigation matters
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex financial and restructuring issues
  • Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and trials
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client management
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Assist in negotiations and settlements
  • Maintain strong communication with clients and colleagues

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of experience in litigation and/or bankruptcy law
  • Admission to the Delaware Bar
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid academic credentials
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Delaware Bar

Skills:

  • Expertise in bankruptcy law, commercial litigation, and restructuring
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent negotiation and client management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
