Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a Mid-Level Transactional Tax Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience to join our esteemed team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transactional tax matters, including fund formation, Section 892 investors, real estate, income tax treaties, and cross-border transactions.

Job Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce high-quality deliverables, answer phone calls, and respond to correspondence promptly.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and precise work products in compliance with firm standards.
  • Meet deadlines consistently and perform all assigned duties effectively.
  • Foster positive working relationships within the firm and with external parties.
  • Adhere to all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activities as required, such as extended computer work, digital/virtual conference calls, and in-person meetings.
  • Perform other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned by supervising attorneys.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in good standing.
  • Admitted to practice law in Washington, DC.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of transactional tax experience focusing on fund formation, Section 892 investors, real estate, income tax treaties, and cross-border transactions.
  • Previous experience at a top-tier AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC experience preferred.
