Family Law Attorney

A law firm in Hackensack, NJ is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney with over 8 years of practice in the field. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong background in representing clients in New York and New Jersey across various family law matters. They should excel in managing a busy caseload, drafting legal documents, and advocating for clients in mediations, hearings, and trials.

Duties:

• Represent clients in a diverse range of family law matters including separation, divorce, custody disputes, spousal and child support, and marital property issues.
• Efficiently manage a busy family law caseload, ensuring timely and effective resolution of cases.
• Prepare and draft various legal documents such as discovery requests, motions, and briefs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
• Attend mediations, hearings, and trials to advocate for clients' interests and achieve favorable outcomes.
• Ability to handle a high volume of cases while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Prefer candidates with 1st chair trial experience.
• Manage active family law matters while contributing to the growth of the firm's clientele.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience practicing family law.
• Proven track record of representing clients in New York and New Jersey.
• Licensed to practice law in both New York and New Jersey.
• Prefer candidates with a small book of business.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Active license to practice law in New Jersey.
