Location:

Duties:

  • Client Intake & First Meeting:
    • Establish trust with clients and show compassion.
    • Document all relevant facts related to liability, damages, and coverage.
    • Outline action items for both the client and the office to ensure effective case progression.
  • Investigation:
    • Direct investigations to strengthen cases for trial.
    • Evaluate insurance coverage and collect key evidence.
  • Negotiation:
    • Prepare cases for trial and assess Full Settlement Value.
    • Maintain strategic relationships with adjusters while negotiating aggressively.
    • File lawsuits as necessary and guide clients through the litigation process.
  • Litigation:
    • Prepare pleadings, discovery, and other legal documents.
    • Strategize and execute trial preparations, mediation, or arbitration.
  • General Responsibilities:
    • Review and approve correspondence prepared by team members.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient movement of cases through the legal process.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in personal injury law, preferably in senior attorney roles.
  • Strong expertise in litigation, negotiations, and case management.
  • Ability to manage complex cases from intake to resolution.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients, adjusters, and other professionals.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active state bar license (Nebraska preferred).
  • Additional certifications in personal injury law are a plus but not required.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
  • Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
  • Expertise in trial preparation and litigation.
