Job Overview:
A leading law firm, located in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Finance Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of transactional experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in representing lenders or tax equity investors in renewable energy project finance transactions. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team handling high-stakes, complex transactions within the renewable energy sector.

Duties:

  • Represent clients, including lenders and tax equity investors, in renewable energy project finance transactions.
  • Advise clients on all aspects of project finance, including structuring, negotiation, and documentation.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transactional agreements, including financing documents and related contracts.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and client teams to develop strategic solutions for complex legal issues.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and provide insightful advice to clients on relevant legal matters.
  • Maintain a high standard of written communication, producing clear and concise documents.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring timely and efficient delivery of legal services.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of transactional experience in project finance, preferably with a focus on renewable energy.
  • Strong understanding of project finance structures, including tax equity financing and related transactions.
  • Exceptional writing and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and communicate complex legal concepts effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate within a team environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the North Carolina Bar or the ability to become licensed in North Carolina.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the North Carolina Bar is required.
