A reputable law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its team. The position involves providing comprehensive legal services to clients, including representing clients in various litigation matters, conducting legal research, and drafting documents. Duties

  • Provide legal counsel and services to clients while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Participate in business development functions, including trade shows and seminars, to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Travel to off-site meetings with prospective and current clients.
  • Apply legal knowledge to effectively counsel clients on business issues, legal procedures, statutes, and other regulatory matters.
  • Communicate with opposing attorneys to expedite case closures.
  • Conduct legal research, prepare legal memoranda, pleadings, and documents for state, federal, and tribal litigation matters.
  • Appear at hearings and trials as needed.
  • Draft tribal codes, regulations, agreements, and review legal documents.
  • Interface with clients on an ongoing basis.
  • Comply with all court obligations and state bar licensure requirements, including continuing legal education (CLE).
  • Follow firm processes and adhere to the employee handbook.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the relevant state bar.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time and projects effectively.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with legal software and tools.
  • Driver’s license required.
  • Completion of a personality assessment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the relevant state bar.
