Duties:

  • Represent clients in various aspects of fund finance transactions, including the creation and negotiation of financing arrangements for private equity funds and other investment vehicles.
  • Assist with the development and review of partnership agreements, credit facilities, and related documents.
  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance, financial structuring, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage client relationships and coordinate with other legal teams to ensure seamless execution of complex transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis, providing practical solutions to fund finance issues.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate terms for fund documents and other related contracts.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in fund finance, private equity finance, or similar areas of practice.
  • Proven experience in managing legal aspects of financing transactions for private investment funds.
  • Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks governing private equity funds and investment structures.
  • Ability to manage complex legal matters with minimal supervision and work effectively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the DC Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Negotiation and drafting expertise, particularly in financial and investment documents.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Proficient in legal research and analysis tools.
