Job Overview:
A dynamic law firm is seeking a junior associate to join its bankruptcy and restructuring, as well as litigation practice, in the Tampa, FL office. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong client management skills, solid academic credentials, and excellent research and writing abilities. Experience or an interest in corporate bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors’ rights, or litigation matters is preferred. Bankruptcy judicial clerkship experience is encouraged but not required.

Location:

  • Tampa, FL

Duties:

  • Assist in handling bankruptcy and restructuring cases
  • Represent creditors in bankruptcy proceedings and related litigation
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  • Support senior attorneys in client management and case strategy
  • Participate in hearings, depositions, and other court proceedings
  • Provide advice and counsel on creditors' rights and bankruptcy matters
  • Assist in managing complex litigation cases and restructuring matters

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, or restructuring
  • Experience or interest in corporate bankruptcy, restructuring, or litigation matters
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent client management and communication abilities
  • Bankruptcy judicial clerkship experience is encouraged but not required

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in good standing (State-specific)

Skills:

  • Strong drafting and legal writing skills
  • Excellent research and analytical abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and work under pressure
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
