Duties

• Evaluate new case files and develop action plans, budgets, and strategic recommendations
• Identify pleading requirements and assign tasks to paralegals as appropriate
• Manage document production and draft responses to discovery requests
• Participate in depositions, hearings, and other discovery-related events, providing detailed reports
• Negotiate settlements, obtain necessary authority, and prepare cases for trial
• Maintain consistent communication with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure efficient case management

Requirements

• Active South Carolina Bar license
• 1-5 years of practice experience
• 1-3 years of litigation experience (insurance defense experience preferred)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal
• Comfort working in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment

Education

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Must be licensed to practice law in South Carolina
