Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A prominent law firm in Scranton, PA, seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney with 5-10 years of litigation experience to join their Workers’ Compensation Department. Duties:

• Litigate diverse workers’ compensation claims, including those involving high exposure, repetitive trauma, occupational disease, and death or hearing loss.
• Represent clients across construction, manufacturing, healthcare, technology, retail, and education industries.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to develop effective case strategies.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Engage in discovery processes, including depositions and interrogatories.
• Collaborate with team members to proactively and innovatively defend client cases.
• Work under mentorship to develop skills necessary for managing cases from inception to resolution.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of litigation experience, preferably in workers’ compensation.
• Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to professional growth and contributing to the firm's long-term success.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar in good standing.
