Job Overview:
A law firm is looking for an experienced Immigration Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in Immigration Court, handling state criminal and probate legal matters, attending asylum and USCIS interviews, and drafting legal memorandums. This position offers the opportunity to work on significant cases, including those that have created legal precedents.

Location:

Duties:

  • Represent clients in court or before government agencies, including immigration hearings.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients, including petitions, motions, and legal briefs.
  • Advise clients on immigration-related matters, including asylum applications, visa processing, and citizenship.
  • Negotiate settlements and resolutions for legal disputes.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal standards, regulations, and immigration policies.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to the practice of law, including case management and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as an attorney, ideally with exposure to immigration law.
  • Strong understanding of immigration procedures, regulations, and legal documents.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build strong rapport with clients and maintain positive relationships.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the State Bar of Massachusetts (or ability to obtain).

Skills:

  • Expertise in immigration law, including asylum, visa processing, and citizenship matters.
  • Strong legal writing and drafting skills.
  • Knowledge of U.S. immigration law and related legal procedures.
