The ideal candidate will have strong M&A experience, including the ability to manage deal processes, draft and negotiate complex documents, and supervise junior associates. Duties

  • Draft and negotiate M&A transaction documents, including definitive agreements and ancillary documents.
  • Manage the overall deal process, ensuring smooth execution of complex transactions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing high-level legal counsel on M&A matters.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates, ensuring efficient workflow and quality of work.
  • Handle day-to-day demands of M&A transactions, including project management and communication with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on strategy development and implementation.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience in M&A law, including experience in both public and private transactions.
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating key M&A documents.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex transactions and client relationships simultaneously.
  • Experience supervising junior associates and delegating tasks effectively.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the State Bar (California).

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of M&A transactions and related legal issues.
  • Strong legal writing, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client relationship management.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to supervise and mentor junior attorneys in a collaborative team environment.
  • High level of academic achievement from a top-tier law school.
