A growing law firm in Issaquah, WA, is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with a focus on personal injury law. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with lead attorneys on all stages of litigation, from initial case evaluation through trial. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in personal injury law and a passion for advocating for injured clients. Location:

Duties:

  • Provide legal representation to clients in personal injury cases
  • Handle all stages of litigation, including pre-litigation demands, discovery, trial preparation, settlement negotiations, and mediation
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and set expectations
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel to secure the best outcome for clients
  • Prepare cases for trial, including coordinating expert witnesses, preparing trial exhibits, and representing clients in court
  • Collaborate with case managers, legal assistants, and other staff to ensure timely and accurate case management
  • Advocate on behalf of clients to secure fair compensation for damages, including medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering
  • Stay informed of changes in personal injury law and participate in continuing education opportunities

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Washington State
  • 3-5 years of experience in personal injury law, with trial experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of personal injury laws and legal procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven negotiation and advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Proficiency in legal research software and case management systems

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Washington State
