Job Overview:
A well-established family law firm in Marietta, Georgia is seeking an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to join its team. This role is perfect for a skilled attorney with a passion for advocating for clients in complex family law matters such as divorce, custody disputes, child support, and more. The ideal candidate will have significant courtroom experience and be comfortable managing litigation through all stages, from hearings to trial.

Duties:

• Represent clients in contested family law matters including divorce, custody, child support, and alimony cases.
• Handle litigation processes, including motion hearings, temporary hearings, bench trials, and jury trials.
• Conduct and defend depositions, manage discovery, and prepare clients and witnesses for testimony.
• Lead mediation and settlement negotiations to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
• Perform legal research, and raft legal pleadings, briefs, and other court documents.
• Advise clients on their legal rights and options while maintaining strong communication and a client-focused approach.
• Independently manage a caseload while adhering to deadlines and maintaining a high standard of quality.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in family law with a strong emphasis on litigation.
• Active membership with the Georgia State Bar.
• Demonstrated ability to handle contested hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Excellent litigation, negotiation, and courtroom skills.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Capability to handle multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• A deep commitment to helping clients navigate challenging legal matters with empathy and expertise.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Georgia State Bar in good standing.
