Duties:

  • Defend healthcare providers in administrative and regulatory matters, including CMS appeals, fraud, abuse cases, and licensure disputes.
  • Represent clients in government investigations, audits, and administrative hearings.
  • Provide legal advice to healthcare institutions on regulatory compliance and reimbursement issues.
  • Draft legal documents, motions, and briefs for healthcare litigation and administrative proceedings.
  • Develop strategies for defending healthcare professionals and facilities in regulatory investigations and administrative disputes.
  • Assist in the growth of the firm's administrative practice, collaborating with existing clients and seeking new opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and stay updated on healthcare regulatory changes and legal precedents.
  • Work closely with a collaborative team of attorneys to ensure high-quality client service.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in healthcare regulatory or administrative law.
  • Portable work in the healthcare regulatory or compliance field is preferred, including experience with reimbursement, licensure, and fraud and abuse matters.
  • Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills, with a commitment to delivering excellent legal representation.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Virginia.
