Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in Raleigh, NC is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Litigation group. This position offers the opportunity to engage in high-stakes litigation while collaborating with a dynamic team. Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in litigation and an understanding of complex commercial cases, particularly in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.

Duties:

  • Communicate effectively with clients to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Supervise junior associates and provide mentorship.
  • Collaborate with experts to develop case strategies.
  • Assist in fact development and conduct depositions.
  • Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
  • Participate actively in developing case strategy and litigation plans.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably with an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school.
  • Admission to practice in North Carolina.
  • Background in science (MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology degree) is required.
  • Experience with product liability and complex commercial litigation is essential.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.
  • Strong academic performance in relevant coursework.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in North Carolina.

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
  • Proven project management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
