Commercial Litigation Attorney

Location:

Duties:

• Lead and support state and federal litigation cases, as well as arbitrations
• Handle motion practice and discovery work
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and other court appearances
• Manage client communication and provide legal advice
• Prepare cases for success in mediation, trial, and arbitration
• Communicate effectively with opposing counsel and the court
• Utilize junior attorneys and staff to support litigation tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of commercial litigation experience
• Proven expertise in drafting motions, briefs, and legal documentation
• Experience in appellate work, insurance defense, or motion practice is preferred
• Strong command of legal language with the ability to write persuasively
• Strategic thinking with a strong analytical mindset to identify unique legal angles
• Comfortable utilizing legal research tools, case management software (Clio preferred), and e-discovery tools
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the State Bar of Texas
