A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a Mergers and Acquisitions Resource Attorney with 7+ years of experience in a US M&A corporate/transactional practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various duties related to deal input, document preparation, knowledge management, legal education, and marketing support within the M&A practice group. The Mergers and Acquisitions Resource Attorney will play a crucial role in supporting the firm's M&A practice group by assisting with deal input, document preparation, knowledge management, legal education, and marketing efforts. This role requires strong expertise in M&A transactions, excellent drafting and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

 

Duties:

  • Input deal terms from signed firm deals into the Transaction Database and coordinate with the knowledge management team to maintain the database
  • Prepare drafts or revise existing precedent template documents for the M&A group
  • Curate and organize the M&A group's forms, precedents, and other know-how
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments relative to M&A practice and prepare summaries and alerts
  • Coordinate with the legal education team to brainstorm content for associate trainings and firmwide training efforts related to M&A
  • Collaborate with the M&A marketing team to strategize on M&A promotion, assist with content creation for pitches and teach-ins
  • Assist attorneys with day-to-day requests for precedents, templates, and other resources
  • Be involved in resource, knowledge management, and practice innovation projects

 

Requirements:

  • Licensed attorney
  • 7+ years of experience in a US M&A corporate/transactional practice
  • Basic understanding of public and private M&A, corporate governance, board fiduciary duties, and market trends

 

Skills:

  • Strong drafting and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple ongoing projects and coordinate with attorneys and stakeholders
  • Transferable skill from associate experience with M&A transactions, both public and private
