Duties

• Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Provide regular updates and reports to clients regarding case status and developments.
• Handle assignments independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Collaborate with colleagues on more complex cases and guide junior attorneys as needed.

Requirements

• 7-12+ years of experience in insurance defense, with a focus on general liability and auto insurance.
• Proven track record of handling civil cases through trial, including depositions and oral arguments.
• Ability to work independently, managing cases and assignments with minimal supervision.
• Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively report to clients and the legal team.
• Motivated, self-starter with the ability to manage a high caseload efficiently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Florida Bar in good standing (required).
• Additional licensure in other states is a plus.
