Duties:

  • Provide expert legal advice on environmental regulatory and administrative enforcement matters, including issues arising under CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and related California statutes.
  • Conducted and managed environmental due diligence processes, including investigating and analyzing potentially contaminated properties.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and transactions involving environmental concerns, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports, legal opinions, and other documentation related to environmental issues.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients in administrative proceedings and enforcement actions before regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals and stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for managing environmental risks.
  • Stay updated on environmental laws and regulations changes, and advise clients on how these changes may impact their operations.

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of experience in environmental law, focusing on regulatory and administrative enforcement matters.
  • Proven track record of handling environmental due diligence, investigation, and site transactions.
  • High academic achievement and a strong legal background in environmental law.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Additional certifications or training in environmental law is advantageous.

Certifications:
