Job Overview: A law firm seeks an experienced Immigration Attorney for a full-time, on-site position in Manassas, VA. The successful candidate will handle a range of immigration matters, including visas, legal issues related to immigration, and other day-to-day legal tasks. This role requires a thorough understanding of immigration law, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients. The Immigration Attorney will work independently and as part of a team to deliver effective legal counsel and solutions for clients navigating complex immigration processes.

Duties:

• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on various immigration matters, including visa applications, green cards, naturalization, asylum, and deportation defense.
• Handle complex immigration law issues, including family-based and employment-based immigration cases.
• Conduct legal research on immigration laws, policies, and procedures to provide accurate and up-to-date advice.
• Prepare and file immigration petitions, applications, and other necessary legal documents with the relevant authorities.
• Represent clients in immigration hearings and proceedings before government agencies.
• Assist clients with legal challenges related to their immigration status and provide tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure smooth case management and successful outcomes.
• Maintained accurate case files and documentation, ensuring all client matters were handled in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership with the Virginia State Bar.
• Proven experience handling immigration matters, including visas, deportation defense, and family-based or employment-based immigration.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Fluency in a second language is preferred but not required.

Education:
