Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Corporate Law Associate on behalf of a prominent law firm in Burlington, Vermont. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with 1-3 years of corporate law experience to join a dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding academic credentials, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service. The associate will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of corporate law, including entity formation, debt and equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, and other commercial transactions.

Duties:

  • Support senior attorneys in handling corporate law matters such as entity formation, financing, and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents related to commercial transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and provide analysis on corporate law issues.
  • Participate in negotiations and communicate with clients regarding legal and transactional matters.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of corporate regulations and compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with the corporate legal team to ensure successful completion of client matters.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in corporate law, with exposure to areas such as entity formation, financing, and mergers & acquisitions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional academic credentials from an accredited law school.
  • Self-starter with intellectual curiosity and a commitment to providing excellent client service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Vermont State Bar (or ability to become admitted).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and drafting skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in corporate law and commercial transactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
