Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney for their office in Burlington, VT.

Job Overview:

The Litigation Associate Attorney will represent clients in civil and criminal litigation matters. They will conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court. The ideal candidate will have experience with the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) and strong analytical, research, and writing skills.

Duties:

• Represent clients in civil and criminal litigation
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court
• Attend Court hearings and trials
• Assist senior attorneys with case management and strategy

Requirements:

• Admission to the Vermont Bar
• Experience with civil and criminal litigation
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Vermont Bar
