A law firm seeks a dedicated and motivated Associate Attorney to join its expanding office in Carson City, NV. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of legal matters, specializing in Workers' Compensation Insurance Defense, OSHA Employer Representation, Subrogation, Subsequent Injury cases, and Industrial Insurance Litigation. The role provides mentorship from experienced partners and offers professional growth in a dynamic and fast-paced legal environment.

Duties

  • Represent clients in court or before government agencies, both in person and remotely.
  • Draft legal documents and correspondence for clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support cases and inform strategies.
  • Meet or exceed monthly billing requirements.
  • Carefully plan and strategize for clients, ensuring attention to detail in all cases.
  • Use an electronic case management system daily to keep files organized, accurate, and up-to-date.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by providing excellent representation.
  • Stay informed on Nevada statutes and regulations relevant to Workers' Compensation and employment law.
  • Collaborate with a team while working independently on case management and legal tasks.
  • Handle multiple deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Requirements

  • Active member of the Nevada State Bar in good standing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across multiple functions.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and dependability in a team-oriented setting.
  • Outstanding verbal communication skills and persuasive legal writing ability.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Nevada.
