Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Buffalo, NY, is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney with strong communication, advocacy, and writing skills. The ideal candidate will handle various aspects of litigation, focusing on business and commercial litigation, government investigations, municipal law, public sector labor, and real estate litigation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda of law on complex legal issues.
• Coordinate Electronically Stored Information (ESI) and manage discovery processes.
• Prepare for and conduct depositions of witnesses and experts.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff on case strategy and management.
• Maintain client relationships and ensure high-quality service delivery.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar (NY Bar license required).
• 0-3 years of experience in litigation, preferably including business and commercial litigation, government investigations, municipal law, public sector labor, or real estate litigation.
• Excellent academic credentials preferred.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Experience with Electronically Stored Information (ESI) and discovery processes is a plus.
