The ideal candidate should bring a wealth of knowledge in corporate and transactional matters, with a specific focus on public company representation. The role will encompass handling public company work and registered equity offerings, including IPOs and follow-on offerings. While experience with life sciences companies is preferred, the group is open to considering candidates with a keen interest in life sciences work (even without direct experience). The candidate should have a broad understanding of corporate transactions, exhibit the ability to work effectively in teams and manage substantial components of transactions independently. Strong academic credentials, equivalent law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are prerequisites for this position, in addition to admission to the New York Bar.

Duties:

  • Handle a diverse range of corporate and transactional matters.
  • Focus on public company representation.
  • Manage public company work and registered equity offerings, including IPOs and follow-on offerings.
  • Exhibit knowledge and, preferably, experience with life sciences companies.
  • Collaborate effectively within teams.
  • Independently manage significant components of transactions.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of relevant legal experience.

  • Experience in public company representation.
  • Knowledge of registered equity offerings, including IPOs and follow-on offerings.
  • A preference for experience or interest in life sciences companies.
  • Effective teamwork and independent transaction management.
  • Outstanding academic credentials.
  • Law firm experience or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Admission to the New York Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
