Job Overview:

A law firm seeks a qualified and dedicated Creditor's Rights Attorney to join its team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consumer credit collections, a deep understanding of state laws regarding consumer collections in the licensed jurisdiction, and a commitment to superior client care and proactive communication.

Duties:

  • Actively utilize the Firm’s case management and reporting software to manage assigned matters.
  • Conduct court appearances and travel as required.
  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients regarding creditor's rights.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to consumer credit collections.
  • Negotiate settlements and handle disputes.
  • Stay updated on changes in state laws regarding consumer collections and the FDCPA.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of client interactions and case progress.

Requirements:

  • Must be a member in good standing of the Georgia Bar.
  • Multi-state licensure is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in creditor's rights or consumer credit collections.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of state laws in the licensed jurisdiction regarding consumer collections and the FDCPA.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
  • Must exhibit a commitment to superior client care and proactive communication.
  • Be a self-starter and enjoy working in a collaborative environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia.
  • Multi-state licensure is strongly preferred.
