This position offers a unique opportunity for a recent law school graduate or an attorney with 1–3 years of experience to gain specialized knowledge in settlement processes within Mass Tort litigation. This role emphasizes analytical and organizational skills, making it ideal for individuals who excel in legal writing and research over courtroom litigation.

Duties

  • Draft and organize settlement-related legal documents, including agreements and case summaries.

  • Analyze medical records and other case documents to prepare cohesive and comprehensive exhibits.

  • Conduct detailed legal research to support settlement negotiations and case evaluations.

  • Collaborate with attorneys and team members to ensure accuracy and clarity of documentation.

  • Review and edit case materials for compliance with legal standards and settlement agreements.

  • Draft correspondence to clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders regarding settlement matters.

  • Monitor case progress, track deadlines, and provide updates to the Settlement Team.

  • Maintain organized records for settlement cases and assist with other settlement-related tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

  • 1–3 years of experience as a practicing attorney.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Interest in legal writing, research, and organizational work over litigation.

  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting medical records is highly advantageous.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Eagerness to develop expertise in Mass Tort settlements.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.

Certifications

  • Active state bar license (or eligibility for admission).
