Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in Hackensack, NJ, is seeking an experienced and driven Personal Injury Attorney to handle a high volume of cases from inception to resolution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury litigation, trial experience, and the ability to advocate effectively for clients seeking justice and fair compensation.

Duties:

• Conduct client interviews and gather information from supporting witnesses, expert witnesses, insurance adjusters, and medical providers.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, trials, depositions, and other litigation proceedings.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients and secure reasonable agreements when appropriate.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to legal assistants, case managers, paralegals, and legal secretaries.
• Maintain and update case status in the firm’s case management system.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation, including trial experience.
• Proficiency in personal injury law, medical terminology, tort law, and related areas such as wrongful death and medical malpractice.
• Strong advocacy, negotiation, and legal writing skills.
• Computer proficiency and familiarity with legal case management systems.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree are required.

Certifications:

• Valid state license to practice law.
• Active membership with the State Bar Association.
• Dual Bar Admission in NJ and NY is highly preferred.
