A law firm in Portland, OR, is seeking a Midlevel General M&A Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and other significant business transactions. The ideal candidate will have exceptional academic credentials and transactional skills, outstanding interpersonal abilities, and a proven track record of responsiveness. Candidates must have an active, in good standing, State Bar license, excellent writing and drafting skills, and a high level of attention to detail. Strong client relationship skills and the ability to work effectively as a team player are essential.

Duties:

  • Provide legal support and advice on mergers and acquisitions, including structuring, negotiating, and drafting transaction documents.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence and analysis of financial, legal, and operational aspects of transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients, legal teams, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth and successful transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex transaction documents, including agreements and contracts.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely completion.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, addressing client inquiries and concerns effectively.
  • Stay informed about developments in M&A law and market trends to provide up-to-date legal counsel.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of law firm experience in mergers and acquisitions and other significant business transactions.
  • Excellent academic credentials and transactional skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Active State Bar license in good standing.
  • Excellent writing and drafting abilities.
  • High level of attention to detail and a proven track record of responsiveness.
  • Strong client relationship skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active State Bar license in good standing.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex transaction documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
