Family Law Associate Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a dedicated Family Law Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience to join their team. The Associate Attorney will handle a diverse caseload and collaborate closely with the principal attorney on case strategy and court hearings.

Job Duties:

• Manage a caseload of approximately 25-35 family law cases of varying complexity.
• Draft and file pleadings, including petitions (divorce, legal separation, parentage), responses, discovery requests/responses, financial disclosures (PDD and FDD), Requests for Orders (RFO), motions, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in less complicated court hearings.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Collaborate with the principal attorney on overall case strategy and client management.

Requirements:

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
• 2+ years of experience practicing family law, preferably in California.
• Strong understanding of California family law procedures and statutes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to advocating for families in legal matters.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience handling complex family law cases and litigation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
• Bilingual proficiency (Spanish) is a plus.
