Job Overview

An esteemed law firm is seeking a skilled securities attorney to join its Investment Funds Group. This position requires a minimum of six years of experience managing structured securities offerings, with a particular focus on commercial real estate law, including real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions. The selected candidate will represent public and private real estate companies, REITs, and institutional investors in various transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, complex financings, and commercial real estate development. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, business judgment, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential.

Duties

  • Manage structured securities offerings, focusing on real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Represent clients, including real estate companies, REITs, and institutional investors, in complex transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to securities and real estate matters.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state securities laws and regulations.
  • Provide legal counsel and strategic advice on securities and real estate transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to structure deals and mitigate legal risks.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, legal professionals, and business teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of six years of experience managing structured securities offerings.
  • Experience at an AmLaw 100 law firm is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of securities regulations and real estate finance transactions.
  • Ability to manage complex transactions independently and efficiently.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.
