Job Overview: A law firm is seeking an Energy Advisory (Project Finance) Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in project finance transactions. The ideal candidate will focus on renewable power and energy transition, demonstrating strong capabilities in drafting and negotiation. This role is based in Washington, DC.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate primary deal documents, including purchase and sale agreements, investment agreements, financing agreements, and joint venture agreements.
  • Manage and oversee project finance transactions involving sponsors, investors, developers, and lenders.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction processes.
  • Provide legal advice and support on energy transition and renewable power projects.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in project finance, particularly with renewable power and energy transition projects.
  • Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex deal documents.
  • Strong team orientation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Admitted to practice in New York or Washington, D.C.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in New York or Washington, D.C.
