Mid-Level Tax Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Tax Associate Attorney for their Chicago, IL office.

Job Overview:

Duties:

• Work on the taxation of corporate and partnership business transactions.
• Primarily involved in transactional practice focusing on mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, joint ventures, fund formation, and financing transactions.
• Provide legal counsel and support to clients on tax-related matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on tax laws and regulations.
• Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and tax filings.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to provide comprehensive client service.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Law or related field.
• 3-6 years of experience working on corporate and partnership business transaction taxation.
• Stellar academic credentials.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Admission to the Illinois Bar.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a major law firm.
