Antitrust/Competition Associate

A law firm seeks a highly qualified Antitrust/Competition Associate to join their Chicago office. The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of experience and an interest in working on complex antitrust and competition matters, including second request investigations and merger litigation. Experience handling investigations by the FTC or DOJ is a plus. Duties:

• Advise clients on antitrust and competition matters, including mergers, acquisitions, and investigations.
• Manage second request investigations and handle merger litigations.
• Represent clients in proceedings before regulatory agencies like the FTC, DOJ, and state attorneys general.
• Draft and review legal documents, including filings, submissions, and regulatory compliance materials.
• Develop legal strategies and work closely with clients to resolve complex competition-related issues.
• Engage in litigation and defense against regulatory inquiries, ensuring clients’ interests are protected.
• Stay updated on regulatory trends and antitrust law to provide timely advice on new developments.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience in antitrust law, preferably with involvement in second request investigations or merger-related litigation.
• Experience with FTC and DOJ procedures and regulatory investigations is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate complex legal challenges.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Illinois.
