A law firm in Harrisburg, PA, is seeking an experienced Insurance and Reinsurance Career Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation, with a strong understanding of insurance issues related to professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies. The position requires excellent academic credentials and a demonstrated ability in research and writing.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on complex insurance coverage matters involving professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.
  • Analyze insurance policies, coverage disputes, and related issues to develop strategic legal solutions.
  • Draft, review, and edit legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed, persuasive legal memoranda.
  • Manage all aspects of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances.
  • Oversee case management from initial filings through resolution, ensuring timely and effective handling of all case components.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement legal strategies aimed at achieving favorable outcomes.
  • Stay current with developments in insurance law, including regulatory changes and relevant case law.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
  • Strong understanding of insurance coverage issues under professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.
  • Proven ability to draft and manage complex legal documents and perform in-depth legal research.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing litigation cases and representing clients in court.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar or eligibility to practice law in Pennsylvania.
